Art Workshops

Please visit my shop to see currently available workshops. My workshops are about having fun and learning new techniques. It is great to just play and lose yourself in the act of creating. We now know that painting has huge health benefits. Recent research has shown that regular painting can decrease brain age significantly and improve cognitive function.
Students showing their work during one of my classes and workshops

My adult workshops are suitable for all levels – from experienced artists who just want to try out some different materials and techniques, right through to absolute beginners. I will give regular attention to each participant. You’ll soon find that you’re making new friends and lending support to your fellow students. I also do art demonstrations for Art Groups. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

I also run workshops and do art demonstrations for children. I am fully CRB checked and can share my DBS certificate with you before booking.

What will we cover together?

Together we will cover a broad range of subjects using mainly acrylics and watercolours. Other materials will be provided for you to use during the session. You will need to bring a set of acrylic paints, a watercolour pocket set, watercolour and acrylic paper and some recommended brushes. Don’t worry if you’re not sure what items to buy – I’ll be happy to give you advice.

Teaching during one of my classes and workshops

Please contact me to discuss one-to-one lessons or small group tuition (two to four people).

“My mission is to really encourage people, not just in their art, but also in their attitudes. I strive to help them to believe that they can do anything if they want to. I firmly believe that everyone can paint. Sometimes we just need someone else to help us get started and to encourage us.” Celia Bennett

  1. Thanks Celia for such a great workshop today. It was great to be working creativity using mixed media to paint flowers. Fantastic day, great fun and so informative. Thanks so much. Roll on the next one!

    • Thanks Toni! It was a fantastic day wasn’t it. I’m so pleased you all enjoyed it so much. So wonderful to see the fantastic paintings everyone created.

  2. Hi Celia

Further to my email, we are interested in any small workshops you might be holding in the New Year at Jackson’s (or elsewhere), preferably on a Tuesday if possible. Would you do, for example, 4-6 week series of workshops/courses or just one-day? And whichever, what are your fees? (‘We’ are Three!).

Thank you – and best wishes for a Happy Christmas

    Sue

Your lessons are always so well thought out prepared and planned and never boring!
Most fun I’ve ever had in an Art Class and good value for money too.

    • Thanks Lynn. You’re on my list! I’m just waiting to get enough emails from people that are interested to book the venue and run an afternoon and evening class.
